How do we go about helping you get these kinds of Real Results?
We do it by getting you to see that in order to have a breakthrough in performance the rules of business have to change.
Manufacturers and project driven organisations relive the same problems over and over, day in - day out , year in - year out. If the fundamental rules don't change then nothing really changes. Rules drive policies, measures and behaviours. So if you want real step improvement in performance the fundamental rules that govern our operations must change.
But... here is the hurdle. If it was easy everyone would do it. It is probably the most difficult thing to do. It is easy if you know how. By applying the Theory of Constraints we help our clients create an entirely new set of rules that are easy to embrace, that are different from the past and different from the competition.
- What to change and why,
- What to change to, and
- How to cause the change - (TOC3 empowers and supports you to sustain the change)
Through the Theory of Constraints we know what the rules (principles) should be, generally speaking. However, we work with your people in such a way that they "discover" or "invent" them for themselves and apply to your own unique situation.
We are very Socratic in our approach. We tend to ask questions to draw out the answers rather than just give answers. We use the Socratic method to induce people to invent solutions. The Socratic approach reduces or eliminates the emotional resistance to change and allows the inventor to take ownership of the idea. The effect is your people understand "effect-cause-effect" logic and they OWN the new rules. What's more they defend them. Afterall, once understood they are no more than basic common sense.
We work in such a way that your people will adopt and apply the rules with little or no resistance. When this happens change is FAST and STICKY. When this occurs performance improvement is dramatic and what's more your competition can't match you because they still operate with the old rules.
But isn’t every business different? And so wouldn’t every project be different?
Would I get these kinds of results for my business?
